The decision by the Region of Peel, Dec. 18, 1998. Rejecting the Mississauga's proposed zoning for the Cawthra Bush. We won, that round!
MISSISSAUGA'S ENVIRONMENTAL NEWSPAPER
V.4
N.1, Oct. - 2002
City
Notice of public meeting, Oct. 17, 2002 - Oct. 3, 2002
The first notice about the Proposed
Official Plan Amendment and Rezoning Application, on Northmount Ave.
City
Notice of public meeting Dec. 2, 2002 - Nov. 6, 2002
The newspaper notice and the
letter sent out, have the wording, as far as I can see but the maps are
quite different.
A written request made to Carmen
Corbasson Councillor for W1, RE: File.# OZ/02/23, on Northmount.
BUT due to being BLACKLISTED
by the City's FOI Co-ordinator, I was refused
my chance to be more involved in this Application. Dated Feb.
14, 2003.
J.
Lefeuvre's e-mail dated May 6/03, Carmen Corbasson; John Lohuis; Jane
Rodman, again Blacklisting me.
The
June 17, 2003 letter to the City about the damage
to the Northmount community this development would cause and inevitably
destroy Cawthra Bush's environmental significance, its only protection.
Quotes
from the Nov. 20th, 2003, & other meetings. Simply put the
developer said the City wants you out, your community gone, so your land
can be turned into subdivisions. Which we know the City will profit
from - GREATLY!
Notice
of OMB Hearing, Dec. 9, 2003 - Nov. 26,
2003
City tells
of one meeting but not both, about what I expect from Joan J. LeFeuvre.
This is one of the tricks, tell
the public when the OMB Hearing starts but not when the public can speak.
It is clearer seen on other City Notices where they just give the date
the Hearing starts and it goes
on for days. A person shows up and told they can only shut-up and
watch. How many people are going to sit for days, during business
hours, to speak?
The second trick is that the
OMB lets people speak after the first day or so, then the developer &
the City gets days there after to discredit what the public has said and
of course no further "input" from the public is called for or chance to
correct a wrong interpretation of what was said.
The
Nov. 27th, 2003 letter to many levels of government about the Unlawful
methods being used by the City of Mississauga to endanger a Provincially
Significant Wetland Complex, habitat for the Jefferson Salamander and eliminate
the community that has protected it.
Request
for Adjournment of Hearing, Feb. 9, 2004 - Dec. 5, 2003
The City moves to cancel a OMB
Hearing and what is left out of the letter is as important as what is in.
Notice
of OMB Hearing Cancellation, Feb. 9, 2004
- Dec. 9/03.
Handed out to those who showed
up, about 20 whom I could not reach ahead of time. Paul Szabo call
just before and said he was going to attend, luck he called me first to
let him know what was going on.
Planning
& Development Committee meeting - Jan. 12, 2004
This is the Internet posted Agenda
- sorry no report available, tough luck for us!

The
Jan. 12, 2004.# 1, letter to the Planning & Development meeting.
This is a good short letter to
noting how the Cawthra Bush is and it is being recognized as being more
and Environmental Significant, the more it is studied. But soon
it will just recording what was there and now gone forever.
The
Jan. 12, 2004.# 2, letter to the Planning & Development meeting.
What City calls fair notice of
public meetings is laid out here for you to judge.
The
Jan. 12, 2004. Minutes for Planning
& Development meeting & my comments nad sound clips.
Does our
Mayor know the Fix Is In at the Ontario Municipal Broad (OMB)?
An important
sound clip!!
So speaks the Queen
of Urban Sprawl,
another sound clip.
The Mayor lets the cat out of the bag
as to how the City is going to get rid of
established "mature" communities' (
here
& here ), that are
not earning the City enough money and have no one important, to the City,
in them. It called - RUNNING THE CITY LIKE A BUSINESS - and
what the Mayor is all about.
The Great
Irony of it all at the bottom.
Paul
Szabo MP - Jan. 12, 2004 - Letter
The Member of Parliament for
Mississauga South, Paul Szabo has come to our aid as the way the City is
treating us is so clearly wrong!

You Paul Szabo M.P.
Meeting
- Feb. 4 - 2004, pictures.
Mr. Szabo and homeowners say
no to City devlopment plans.
City staff try to take blueprint
from me - MISTAKE!
Moldenhauer Development's plans
show - THE CHILDREN ARE TO
PLAY BESIDE THE GARBAGE!
Detail
of the blueprint & the sheet
that explains more about its details given to the OMB.
The
Feb. 11, 2004, letter to the Mississauga News.
That will likely never be printed
as it warns Missisaugans about what the Mayor has in store for their communities.
My feelings toward David Culham
have changed greatly after writing this letter.
The
Feb. 11, 2004, letter to the Ontario Municipal Borad.
This is the letter written to
note that David Culham, OMB member who heard
the Northmount matter should never have done so as it would be clear to
a reasonable person that he would have a Bias or
be in a Conflict of Interest, if he did.
Meeting
- City Council - Mar. 31, 2004
The re-Zoning
meeting from HELL! Our Councillor was even told to SHUT
UP by the Mayor.
