This is a contact list of the Nordic ski resorts High Park Ski Club runs trips to. I have included mail addresses, phone numbers, web pages, email addresses, trail ticket charges, and ski rental information, where available. Since we show up at the resorts on a bus, we pay group rates. These are what I collected below.

The rates listed on this document are for 1998/1999, unless otherwise stated.

The 1999/2000 rates are $40 per bus. If we park the bus we don't have to pay for the tail tickets. Trail tickets are $2. There is a self-serve fee station. This is from a phone message left by their assistant superintendant, Carl Castle on 1999 December 31.

As of 2015Mar15, according to the website, the trails and forests are available as a backcountry style experience. All trails begin at the Trail Centre, a heated log cabin. Snowshoeing is permitted. There is no mention of anybody collecting money. Don't count on this.

Dagmar Ski Resort and Summer Park

Dagmar Ski Resort and Summer Park, 1220 Lakeridge Rd., Ashburn, They used to have cross country ski trails.

Web sites:

As of 2015May01, their day pass for access to the forest centre will increase to $15 per adult. They do not do ski rentals. They have a snack counter with far better quality food than you would expect in a place like this. Watch out for the rum balls.

For 2021/2022, the regular rates are $39 for an adult ski trail pass, and (or) $21 for a snowshoe trail pass, all plus HST. A classic ski rental is $45. Skate skis are $58, and snowshoes $26. I am not sure how HST works with rentals.

Highlands Nordic Inc

Highlands Nordic Inc, Box 110, Duntroon, Ontario, L0M 1H0, Phone: (705) 444-5017. This resort used to be called, and is often still called Duntroon.

WWW Link: http://www.HighlandsNordic.ca Watch out for the weather conditions page here. If you print it, it prints out the current conditions, then the previous day's conditions, then the day before that, and the day before that...

The resort's policy on ski rentals is to demand a credit card imprint, but in the case of a ski club, they usually just write down the name and number of the bus. To date, they have had no problems with ski clubs.

This was a nice place to ski. Unfortunately, they have closed down their ski trails to better support camping.

Central Lake Ontario Conservation's head offices are at 100 Whiting Ave., Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, L1H 3T3, Ph:(905)579-0411, Fax:(905)579-0994. They have a couple of other trails, but these are smaller, and not maintained for skiing.

Mountainview Ski and MTB Centre

R1 Midland, L4R 4K4, 705.526.8149 http://www.mountainviewmidland.com

I skied here with the club a very long time ago. They had downhill and cross country. Their chalet was a trailer with a guy at one end selling hot dogs. I cannot remember the rest.

As of 2009Dec26, finally, they have a website. There is no evidence of the downhill ski program, which is probably no loss. They did not have much of a hill. Their map shows a chalet!

Pleasure Valley

Pleasure Valley, R.R. #4, Uxbridge, Ontario, L9P 1R4, Phone: (905) 649-3334.

Pleasure Valley used to have ski trails. As of December 2004, their trails closed due to some sort of property dispute. As of December 2006, they appear to be a "wellness" centre. There is no mention of skiing on their website. Apparently, as of 2008Oct16, their horses are "willing teachers".
