  • The show stars a working, moving, huffing and puffing, 66-ton vintage steam locomotive.
It's reported to be LSWR T3 class, 4-4-0 number 563 (built 1893), from National Railway Museum, in Shildon, Durham, England.
  • The Railway Children is based on the famous Edwardian-era novel by Edith Nesbit about Bobbie, Peter and Phyllis, three children - reduced to poverty after their father is unjustly imprisoned - who move from their middle class London home to a poor, rural cottage beside the railroad t! racks. The children befriend the local railway porter and embark on a magical journey of discovery, friendship and adventure, etc.
